Humaid Al Nuaimi issues decree on "Ajman Digital Government"

Ajman, March 16 (WAM) - His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, today issued an Amiri Decree on replacing the name of Ajman Digital Government.

Decree No. 5 of 2020 stipulates that the name "Ajman Digital Government" and the name "Ajman Digital Government Central Department" shall be replaced to become "Ajman Digital Department" wherever it is mentioned in Emiri Decree No. 9 of 2017 or in any other legislation, and replacing the name does not entail any prejudice to rights and obligations.

The texts of Articles 3 and 8 of Emiri Decree No. 9 of 2017 shall be replaced by the following texts.

Under the provisions of this decree and as of the date of its entry into force, Ajman e-Government shall be reorganized to form a government department called "Ajman Digital Department" and referred to as "Digital Ajman" and attached to the Chairman of the Executive Council.

The decree also stipulates that the Department shall have an organizational structure prepared by the Director General in coordination with government agencies and approved in accordance with the provisions of the local legislation in force in the Emirate.

Any provision or provision of any other legislation that conflicts or contradicts the provisions of this decree shall be repealed. This decree shall enter into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
