Where Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti Chairman of Cyber Security Council honored Dr. Ahoud Ali Shahil Director General in appreciation of her efforts in governance, performance and risk management.

A delegation from Ajman Digital Department, headed by H.E. Dr. Ohood Ali Shuhail, participated in the Gartner IT Symposium/XPO™️ conference and exhibition, held in Barcelona, Spain, from 6 to 9 November.
The Gartner IT Symposium/XPO™️ is an opportunity to meet IT leaders, exploring the technology, insights and trends shaping the future of IT and business, including accelerating digital transformation, cybersecurity, customer experience and data analytics.

Our participation in the summit comes as a member of the Cyber Security Council of the United Arab Emirates, in the context of the efforts that the state is making as part of its proactive approach to the challenges imposed by accelerated digital technologies, with the aim of providing digital protection and securing advanced infrastructure with Ensures the business to continue.

Dina Fares , Director of the Digital Transformation Department participated at the Government Services Forum,  in a panel discussion entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Empowering the New Generation of Government Services alongside the most prominent thought leaders, innovators, and decision makers.”

Our participation in the “Virtual Bahrain 2020” conference comes in a special session entitled: “Digital transformation is a trend that has proven it's worth.”  HE Ohoud Ali Shehail Director General of Digital Ajman Department talked about the process of digital transformation in the Emirates of Ajman as a foolproof approach that has proven its effectiveness for government entities and leading institutions, especially in facing exceptional circumstances. As the experience of the Ajman Digital Department was a successful one, in all aspects, that helped us overcome the Covid-19 pandemic hand in hand with the government entities in the Emirate of Ajman, and it played a pivotal role in maintaining business continuity.

The Corona Pandemic: Lessons and Opportunities for Innovation.

The Ajman Digital Department participated in the activities of the second week of the UAE Hackathon Challenge 2020, “Data for Happiness and Quality of Life,” which is organized by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in cooperation with the National Program for Happiness and Quality of Life. It witnessed the launch of three hackathons in Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain, which received wide participation from Those interested in analyzing data include students, teachers, employees, and entrepreneurs from the government and private sectors.

The UAE Hackathon is an arena for creativity, competition, and enhancing the experience of national competencies by motivating them to innovate, which has become a characteristic of the UAE in all its institutions, as the use of Ajman open data in this challenge enriches the experience of government agencies in the Emirate of Ajman, stressing that this participation enhances the concerted efforts between the government. Wijdan Al-Hajjaj, Director of the Office of Strategy and Project Management in the Ajman Department, participated in the eleventh annual conference for student research in the field of applied computing, which was held at #Zayed University. Al-Hajjaj said in her speech about artificial intelligence that the UAE realized early on the importance of this field, so it took diligent steps since 2000, and took the lead by taking exceptional steps, such as appointing the first Minister of Artificial Intelligence in the world.
