"Digital Ajman": Completion of more than 18 million transactions through the electronic connectivity platform

Ajman, May 22 (WAM) - Ajman Digital Department announced the completion of more than 18 million digital transactions through the electronic connectivity platform launched in 2018 with the aim of enhancing the integration of digital services provided by the Government of Ajman to more than 44 partners.

This came during the "Electronic Connectivity Platform Partners Forum" organized by the Department, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and communication with partners in the local, federal and private sectors, whom the Department considers key supporters of the platform, whether by providing shared data or by using this data to ensure interconnected, paperless, secure and reliable government services.

Her Excellency Dina Faris, Director General of Ajman Digital Department in Al Nadab, confirmed in her speech during the forum, that the Department is working to develop the platform and increase the number of partners continuously in order to enhance the integration of digital services for partners, facilitate procedures and reduce the number of documents required in government services, noting that the electronic connectivity platform (AJSB) has made a real leap in digital government services in the Emirate of Ajman, as the platform has simplified the procedures of government services in the emirate and made them more flexible and integrated.

She explained that access to government services has become easier than ever for citizens and residents in the Emirate of Ajman, pointing out that the electronic connectivity platform today hosts more than 280 common application interfaces (APIs), through which more than 18 million transactions have been completed, with the participation and cooperation of more than 44 partners.

She thanked and appreciated the Department's partners in the electronic connectivity platform for their continuous cooperation in the process of developing services in an integrated and proactive manner, expressing her aspiration to continue innovation and improve digital services and her confidence that the continuous support of partners will enable the Department to make Ajman a model for digital transformation and a beacon of progress and prosperity for all.

For her part, Salam Al-Sarayreh, Digital Transformation Specialist and Project Manager of the Electronic Connectivity Platform, highlighted during the meeting the objectives of the platform and its development stages, explaining the increasing number of partners and the number of government and private transactions that took place through the platform, which reflects the increased adoption of common link points provided by the platform, in addition to pointing to the importance of using the platform in achieving sustainable development goals and supporting the digital economy in the emirate.

The meeting included a number of lectures presented by consultants in the field of electronic connectivity in cooperation with IBM and Gartner to learn about the most important developments and updates that took place on the platform during the first quarter of 2023, in addition to learning about the future of digital integration technologies in digital governments.

It was pointed out that the objectives of the (Ajman Know) initiative have been achieved by 100%, which was launched by the Ajman Digital Department in 2020 with the aim of reducing the documents required from the customer to apply for government services through the electronic link platform, in addition to reaching maturity in the circulation of customer documents and achieving comprehensive integration between government agencies to enrich the customer experience, as more than 8 government documents have been dispensed with and are requested in 80% of government services such as title deed document, lease contract and commercial licenses, in addition to Identity document, passport and other most requested documents.
