Dubai, Oct. 20 (WAM) -- Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Citizens Affairs Office in the Emirate of Ajman, and Sheikha Azza bint Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charitable Foundation in Ajman, visited the Ajman Government stand at GITEX Technology 2021.
During their visit, in the presence of His Excellency Yousef Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Ajman, the sheikhs were briefed on the services provided by the Ajman Digital Department and other entities participating in the platform, and listened to a full explanation of the importance of digital applications that are used by customers and strategic partners, and praised the new projects and initiatives of the Government of Ajman.
Her Excellency Dina Faris, Director General of Ajman Digital Department, said that the Department's pavilion at GITEX attracted thousands of visitors during the past days, stressing keenness to double the efforts made for more giving and creativity.
Ajman Digital Department announced the results of the Ajman Data Challenge, which was held in cooperation with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center and dealt with two main axes based on open data, the first axis was entitled "Ajman Button" and the second axis was entitled "Invest in Ajman".
Maryam Al Jallaf, data analysis specialist supervising the challenge, which witnessed the victory of 3 contestants, said that the Ajman Data Challenge was a field in which talented citizens and residents competed on the land of the UAE, explaining that the second edition of the challenge was more developed and more competitive and attracted researchers, students, specialists and artists who presented diverse and distinctive works.
The Department honored the members of the Ajman Data Challenge Jury HE Thuraya Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Digital Data Empowerment Sector at the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center, Manal Khamis Al Afad, Smart Transformation Team Leader at the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and Dr. Nadine Haj, Principal Data Scientist at Crayon.
On the other hand, Eng. Noura Rashid Shattaf, Executive Director of the Customer Happiness Sector at the Department, inaugurated the "external website of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department", which includes multiple channels for users and is characterized by a set of features and enjoys ease and flexibility in use.
She explained that the external site is the interface of the department and an effective means of communication with groups and segments of society, noting that it suits everyone and provides accurate and detailed information to users.
For his part, Ammar Abdul Karim Al Kayed, Director of the Rental Regulation Department at the Department, launched the "Certification Project", which includes new services to facilitate customers and enable them to complete their transactions easily and effectively.
He explained that the project is in line with the requirements of smart and electronic transformation and provides many advantages over the services of attesting the railway contract and ratifying the commercial contract to reduce the customer's journey from days to minutes, through electronic linkage with the Ajman Sewerage Company and the Federal Electricity and Water Authority.
The "Remote Litigation Channel" was also launched, which employs modern technologies to increase productivity and speed up the completion of transactions, which in turn contributed to increasing the number of cases that are heard per day due to the ease of gathering committee members and case parties using the smart method.
