Ammar Al Nuaimi briefed on the latest digital initiatives at GITEX 2023

Ajman, Oct. 19 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, was briefed on the latest digital initiatives and smart applications of a number of local pavilions and platforms at the 43rd GITEX Global Exhibition, currently being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

During his visit to the exhibition, His Highness praised the great success achieved by GITEX year after year until it became the most important global event in the field of modern technologies and advanced technology, in addition to its prominent role in consolidating the UAE's position as a major global hub for technology and the industry of the future.

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that GITEX is a global forum for exchanging experiences and learning about the best experiences, applications and smart services, and it is an ideal platform to highlight the digital transformation process in the Emirate of Ajman, which came as a translation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, to provide proactive and integrated digital government services that enhance the development process witnessed by the Emirate of Ajman in all fields.

His Highness expressed his pride in the level of digital initiatives presented by the national pavilions and their contribution to simplifying procedures and providing the best services to customers with maximum speed and high efficiency, thus enhancing the quality of life and the well-being of society.

During his visit to the Ajman Government stand at the exhibition, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi was briefed on the digital services provided by the government entities participating in the platform, which reflect the progress made by the emirate in terms of digitizing its services.

His Highness stressed that the participation of the Government of Ajman through a unified platform in this most important technology exhibition in the world reflects our efforts to adopt more smart technologies and adapt them to provide the best government services in terms of efficiency, speed and ease, in line with the vision of the Emirate of Ajman and consolidate the distinguished position reached by the emirate, and directed His Highness to invest GITEX in establishing new partnerships and exploring innovative ideas that enhance the process of digital transformation in the Emirate of Ajman.

His Highness praised the Ajman Government platform for showcasing more than 40 new services and launching a package of the latest digital services aimed at accelerating the completion of government transactions and improving the quality of services provided to the public.

During his visit to the Ajman Government Platform, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi inaugurated the first phase of the government service delivery system, developed by the Ajman Digital Department, and was briefed on the objectives of the system, which is a unified and integrated platform designed to achieve digital transformation in the provision of government services in the Emirate of Ajman.

His Highness listened to an explanation from Her Excellency Dr. Ohoud Ali Shuhail, Director General of Ajman Digital Department, on the system, which is based on the concept of "one government", as it provides a unified interface for citizens, residents, visitors and investors to access all government services easily and effectively through various channels.

His Highness was also briefed on the features of the government service delivery system, most notably enabling customers to access government services easily and smoothly through various channels, including call centers, digital channels, and social media, which contributes to providing a distinct and unified experience, in addition to providing the possibility of creating a unified government profile for each customer, allowing them to track and manage all their transactions and interactions with the government with ease.

The system is also characterized by providing a platform that allows the government to follow up the performance of government services and measure the level of satisfaction of customers, which facilitates continuous improvement and decision-making based on data in order to improve services, as well as publishing information and statistics on the performance of the government and government services to increase transparency and trust between citizens and the government, and the system is characterized by collecting and analyzing data to understand the needs and expectations of citizens and use this information in directing public policies and making strategic decisions.

Her Excellency Dr. Ohoud Shuhail stressed that Ajman Digital Department is moving at a rapid pace to achieve leadership in government work, through the government service delivery system, which aims to provide distinguished digital services in terms of quality, efficiency and reliability, in line with the department's vision "The happiness of our society at the core of our digital environment".

She pointed out that the government service delivery system reflects the commitment of the Government of Ajman to improve service delivery, enhance its communication with citizens and residents, and develop initiatives that contribute to the happiness of customers.

During his tour, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi was briefed on the digital services of the Department of Finance in Ajman, which contribute to facilitating the customer's journey, and praised the Department's efforts to keep pace with the latest trends in the field of technological innovation in order to enhance the integration of government services at the level of the emirate and its keenness to adopt innovative technologies to support digital transformation and improve financial operations and services.

During his visit to the DTD stand, His Highness was briefed on pioneering initiatives that include displaying hotel establishments and tourist attractions on a digital map so that visitors can search and benefit from various options through the platform, and access the locations and details of hotel establishments, tourist and cultural attractions, events, sports activities and dining options in the emirate.

During his visit to the Ajman Government stand, H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi witnessed the signing of an agreement by the Ajman Transport Authority to develop a smart taxi control system with AJ Technology.

His Excellency Omar Mohammed Lootah, Director General of the Ajman Transport Authority, stressed that the Authority attaches great importance to achieving the highest levels of security and safety and providing support to facilitate the control process in cooperation with the security authorities in Ajman in order to improve the quality of life in the emirate.

His Highness was also briefed on the digital projects, applications and smart services launched by the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, and listened to a detailed explanation of the Ajman 15-minute city project, and the automatic renewal service for lease contracts for the attestation system.

His Highness was also briefed on the smart market researcher service provided by the Ajman Chamber, which aims to help those who are about to open new projects, businessmen and investors in providing the information they need in searching for business opportunities in the local market, by benefiting from the information and statistics provided by the program.

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi also visited a number of exhibition stands and pavilions of the entities participating in the exhibition, and was briefed during the tour, during which he was accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Ohood Ali Shuhail, Director General of Ajman Digital Department and a number of general managers, on the most important projects and smart solutions that local companies and government agencies participate in the technical event.

His Highness visited the Abu Dhabi Government Stand and was received by His Excellency Fahad Salem Al Kiyumi, Undersecretary of the Department of Government Support, who explained to His Highness the government initiatives participating in the exhibition within the framework of five main priorities: "Government Services", which aims to enhance the efficiency of digital platforms and service centers to improve and facilitate the customer experience, "Government Solutions", which aims to achieve integration between government agencies and establish a joint work approach that supports the needs and aspirations of the Abu Dhabi Government, and "Data and Artificial Intelligence", which revolves around exchanging data in a timely manner. Secure and reliable to assist decision-making and enhance government efficiency, "cybersecurity" that focuses on protecting digital assets, and finally "digital enablement" which aims to seamlessly connect digital systems, stakeholders and partners.

His Highness was briefed on the new version of the Abu Dhabi Unified Government Services Platform (TAMM), which allows the completion of more than 750 services provided by more than 30 government entities in Abu Dhabi, in addition to a selection of private sector services related to the daily lives of community members.

His Highness also visited the Sharjah Government Platform, where he was received by His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX, and was briefed on a range of innovative projects presented by 11 government entities under the slogan "Towards a Sustainable Digital Future".

During his visit to the exhibition, His Highness listened to an explanation of Amazon's technological solutions, as the global company displays a wide range of its technologies aimed at empowering organizations with technical and cloud solutions that aim to store data and information securely and reliably.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stopped at du's booth, where His Excellency Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, explained the company's efforts to support the UAE's vision and aspirations for the digital future by relying on the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence and advanced fifth generation, which contributes to enhancing sustainability practices, meeting safety requirements and improving employee satisfaction and digital skills.

His Highness also visited the G42 platform, a company specialized in artificial intelligence technology and cloud computing, and listened to an explanation from Hassan Al Hosani, CEO of Bayanat of G42, on the digital twinning project, where Hassan Al Hosani stressed that digital twins use geospatial data and high-definition three-dimensional planning and integrate the capabilities of Internet of Things technologies and artificial intelligence, which allows creating a visual perception of our physical environment and assets, where data generated from different sources is integrated. In real time, it enables us to simulate different scenarios and make sound decisions to choose the best ways to improve resource allocation, infrastructure placement and play a critical role in the management and formation of cities.
