Ajman Government Pavilion at GITEX Embodies The Emirate's Digital Transformation

Ajman, Oct. 17 (WAM) -- Her Excellency Dr. Ohoud Ali Shuhail, Director General of Ajman Digital Department, was briefed on the most prominent digital initiatives presented by the Department and the entities participating in the Ajman Government Platform, at GITEX Global in its 43rd session held at the Dubai World Trade Center and will continue until October 20, with the participation of a wide range of government and private entities from inside and outside the country.

It was also briefed on the latest developments in existing projects and new services for the entities participating in the platform, which contribute to consolidating the digital transformation process in the Emirate of Ajman, and providing easy services to customers and strategic partners with various departments, institutions and authorities in Ajman.

During the visit, Her Excellency listened to an explanation of the most important digital services in the Ajman Government pavilion, most notably the digital services system, and the Ajman Open Data Platform, which enables customers to access government services and data easily and smoothly, which contributes to enhancing the quality of life in the Emirate of Ajman.

Ajman Digital Department is participating in GITEX alongside 11 government and private entities in the Emirate of Ajman, within the Ajman Government platform, namely the Municipality and Planning Department, Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Land and Real Estate Regulatory Department, Port and Customs Department, Ajman Police General Headquarters, Department of Finance, Human Resources Department, Transport Authority, Department of Economic Development, Department of Tourism Development, and from the private sector Ajman Bank, and Ajman Digital Department is the organizer of the participation of these entities in this important technical event at the level of Region and world.

Her Excellency Dr. Ohoud Ali Shuhail said: "The participation of the Government of Ajman in GITEX comes to introduce its various digital services and the features of continuous development it is witnessing, in addition to launching a package of the latest innovations and smart services, which contribute to the sustainability of digital services and provide an exceptional experience for customers."

She pointed out that the Ajman Government platform brings together 12 government and private entities that will review their most important current and future projects throughout the exhibition, and these entities will announce more than 40 new services, in addition to signing more than ten partnership and cooperation agreements with government and private agencies to adopt modern technical solutions in developing and improving the customer experience of digital services in the Emirate of Ajman.

Her Excellency stressed that the Ajman Government pavilion witnessed strong interaction by visitors and attendees at the exhibition, where the team at Ajman Digital Department receives visitors and introduces them to the most prominent achievements and innovative digital services that suit all segments of society.

On the sidelines of GITEX, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) honored Ajman Digital Department as one of the partners participating in the Digital Academy project, a national initiative between digital governments that targets employees working in areas related to digital transformation.

H.E. Eng. Majid Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, honored H.E. Dr. Ohoud Ali Shuhail, Director General of Ajman Digital Department, and Khawla Al Mahri, Chief Human Resources Executive, for the Department's fruitful efforts in the Digital Academy project.

It is noteworthy that the Digital Academy project is a strategic goal in the UAE's digital government roadmap and an important qualitative leap towards enhancing the capabilities of government employees in the field of technology and achieving common visions in the field of digital transformation.

Her Excellency Dr. Ohoud Ali Shuhail also visited the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX, where she was received by Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion, where she was briefed on the initiatives that have been developed and implemented in government agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah.
